From Bill Collins, Paisano President
On January 2, 2019, John Frost submitted his resignation as Paisano Baptist Encampment Superintendent effective March 1, 2019. In his resignation letter, he wrote in part, “This is the hardest resignation I have written. You all have cared for my family so well. I will never find an employer more generous or easier to work with.”
John, Carolynn and their family have been true blessings to Paisano. John’s seven years of service have been invaluable, and his excellence will continue to pay dividends far into the future.
While the resignation may come as a surprise, John continues to seek God’s guidance in his life and has been fully transparent as I have known for some time that God was preparing him and the Frost family for a new ministry working with International college students in Oklahoma near his parents. John and his family are doing what they feel to be God’s will for them and are truly stepping out on faith in this transition.
We all wish that we could keep John and Carolynn indefinitely, but God has other plans. We were extremely blessed to have their presence and efforts for a season at the Camp.
On March 1, Bryan Ritchie will assume the role of Interim Encampment Superintendent. Begin praying for Bryan as he assumes more and more of the day to day operations. He has had the best mentor possible in John, and I have full confidence in his abilities to manage Paisano.

During 2016, Paisano paid for the wiring and installation of electricity meters on each individual cabin. Beginning in 2017, cabin owners are responsible for obtaining and purchasing their own electrical service. For those planning to come to Paisano to work on their cabins prior to the July meeting, please note the following request from Paisano staff:
“Please call the office at 432-837-3074 before coming to Paisano to work on your cabin. If there is no one in the office, please leave a message so that we may be able to return your call. Many areas are still without electrical service because of the ice storm back in November. Thank you for your understanding.”
